About the Role
The Medication Assistant (MA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications and assist with hygiene, transfers, and mobility.
- Record vital signs and support psychosocial needs.
- Ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
- Participate in recreational programs.
- Maintain documentation of care activities.
- Document care activities, communicate changes, and collaborate with nursing staff.
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and recreational activities.
Requirements
- Minimum 18 years old.
- Clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of age-appropriate care and transfer techniques.
- Completion of required certifications (CNA, CMA, TMA) based on state regulations.
- Maintain continuing education credits and department-specific competencies.
- Travel within a 75-mile radius to support multiple locations.
- Flexible scheduling with minimum hours and weekend shifts.
