Careers With Purpose joins a not-for-profit organization dedicated to over 100 years of housing and services for seniors in a Christian environment. Located at 301 Co Rd 12B, Park River, ND 58270, this position offers flexible scheduling and travel opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Serves as caregiver providing resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse.
  • Delivers age-appropriate care related to physical and psychological needs as per the resident's plan of care.
  • Assists with basic health care needs including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, vital sign recording, and psycho-social support.
  • Transfers, repositions, and assists residents with walking using correct techniques and equipment, performing range of motion and passive exercises.
  • Prepares and serves meals, ensures a positive dining experience, and provides water and supplements as necessary.
  • Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse, documenting outcomes and communicating changes to the charge nurse.
  • Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and vital signs.
  • Performs housekeeping and laundry services to maintain living areas.
  • Encourages residents to participate in wellness and recreational programs, and documents their participation.
  • Participates in departmental and organizational committees as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of 18 years of age.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Maintains a record of continuing education credits annually based on state requirements.
  • Maintains all department-specific required certifications.

Skills

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and assist residents with mobility.
  • Knowledge of medication administration and documentation.
  • Basic computer skills for completing job-related tasks.

Pay

$18.50 - $28.00 per hour, with additional premiums for weekends, evenings, and night shifts.

Schedule

PRN (as needed), with weekly hours varying.

Department Details

Travel required to support multiple locations within a 150-mile radius of the permanent address. Mileage reimbursement provided for required travel.
