About the role

We are seeking a Medication Assistant to join our team at Highgate Senior Living. This position offers the chance to positively impact the lives of over 700 seniors and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Care for residents, including physical assistance with activities of daily living and emotional, psychological, and soulful support.
  • Pass medications as needed, with the option for training if required.
  • Provide compassionate and patient care, adapting to the changing needs of older adults.
  • Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the best care for residents.

Requirements

  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain CPR & First Aid Certification.
  • Current negative TB test.
  • Possess the ability to sit, stand, bend, and move continuously during work hours.
  • Ability to carry or transfer up to 25lbs with assistance.
  • Ability to pass a criminal record/background check.
  • Efficient time management and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little oversight.
  • Willingness to attend and incorporate different types of training into work efforts.

Qualifications

  • Good customer service skills, patience, and compassion.
  • Experience in customer service, hospitality, or healthcare.
  • Organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to the changing needs of an older adult.
  • Understanding of dementia and its impact on residents.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $23.00 per hour.

Schedule

This position is either full or part-time, with responsibilities that can be hands-on or stand-by assistance as needed.
