Medication Aide: Casual 3p-11:30p every other Sunday

About the role

The Bristal Assisted Living seeks compassionate and dedicated Medication Aides/Technicians to support the daily medication management of residents. This role is crucial for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents, providing them with the care they need.

Responsibilities

• Help residents manage their daily activities of living (ADLs)
• Administer residents' medications safely, consistently, and according to doctors' orders
• Follow all policies and procedures, including those of the Nurse Shift Supervisor and the Director of Wellness
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all residents, adhering to company policies and procedures
• Work closely with Medication Administration Records (MAR) and follow doctors' orders
• Support residents with Alzheimer's disease and dementia (preferred but not required)
• Respect the elderly and maintain composure at all times
• Be dependable and observant
• Work one weekend day per week

Qualifications

• Maintain an abiding respect for the elderly and remain calm at all times
• Have at least an HHA certificate
• Hold a New Jersey state med tech certification to apply for this position
