Certified Medication Aide / 3pm-11pm

About the role

NHC Healthcare Glasgow is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join their nursing team. This position requires certification and involves administering daily medications, coordinating with licensed nurses, recording medications administered, observing patients, and responding to emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver routine daily medications to patients as ordered.
• Cook with Licensed Nurses to assist with patient care and medications.
• Follow orders in detail on how to manage medications.
• Record medications administered.
• Observe patients and document changes in their condition as well as report changes to the Licensed Nurse.
• Gather samples for analysis as ordered.
• Ensure equipment is routinely inspected and cleaned.
• Uphold all health and safety standards.
• Respond to patient emergency call signals, bells, or intercom systems to identify patient needs.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of patient care procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to patients' conditions.
