Medication Aide

Description

Receives report from the previous shift and Med Aide.

Maintains physicians orders in accordance with policy.

• Communicates appropriately with all care partners and utilizes appropriate communication tools.
• Completes appropriate documentation each shift.
• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and universal precautions.
• Reports deficiencies observed in resident apartments clothing/linen and community to administrator.
• Completes Incident Report form as needed for any unusual occurrence.
• Observes and communicates any changes in resident physical or mental status as directed.

Qualifications

• Job Qualifications: Free of non-treated communicable disease.
• Holds current CPR/First Aid Certification.
• Physical Demands: Ability to push, pull, and lift at least 50lbs. Ability to bend, squat, and climb stairs. Ability to continuously walk or stand.
• Universal Precautions: Potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids. Potential exposure to communicable diseases.
