Medication Aide
About the role
We are currently searching for Medication Aides to join our friendly, caring and supportive team at Avantara North. Responsibilities
- Ensure residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by providing medications as needed.
- Perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Observe changes in resident's condition and report to healthcare providers.
- Maintain a safe environment for residents.
- Maintain ongoing education about medication administration and resident care.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- An unencumbered State of South Dakota C.N.A. certificate.
- Successful completion of State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training.
- C.P.R. certification.
- One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but not required. We are willing to invest in the right candidate!
Qualifications
To be eligible for consideration, applicants should have:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- An unencumbered State of South Dakota C.N.A. certificate.
- Successfully completed State of South Dakota approved Medication Aide training.
- C.P.R. certification.
- One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
Skills
Knowledge of medication administration, strong communication skills, ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor, and attention to detail are essential.
