Home Health Aide

Responsibilities

• Aids residents with activities of daily living.
• Bathes, dresses, grooms, toilets, eats, transfers, and moves residents.
• Engages residents in conversation, socialization, and activities.
• Responds promptly to resident needs and provides or obtains assistance as necessary.
• Observes residents for changes in condition and reports promptly to a licensed nurse.
• Completes forms and documentation such as incident reports and change of condition reports.
• Prepares and serves meals, assists with eating, and makes beds, empties garbage, and tidies rooms daily and as needed.

Qualifications

• Current CNA license in good standing.
• Maryland Home Health Aide license.
• CPR Certificate.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with the elderly in a residential or long-term care setting is preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
