Medication Aide

About the role

At The Evergreen Inn, an Agemark Senior Living community in Vancouver, WA, Medication Aides help residents feel safe, supported, and cared for. The role involves assisting residents with medications, documenting accurately, observing health changes, supporting daily living needs, and building meaningful relationships.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with medications according to their care plans and physician orders.
• Accurately document medications and maintain resident records.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly communicate concerns to nursing staff.
• Assist residents with daily living needs while encouraging independence and dignity.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and coworkers.
• Help create a positive, welcoming environment for residents.

Requirements

• Meet Washington requirements for medication administration.
• Availability across day, evening, and overnight shifts based on community needs.
• Strong communication and basic computer skills.
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine interest in working with seniors.
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Previous senior living or caregiving experience is a plus.
