Medication Admin Assistant (TMA)

Auburn Homes and Services of Chaska, an Illuminus Community, provides assisted living, memory support, and short-term rehabilitation and long-term skilled nursing care to older adults. Established in 1928, the organization aims to empower residents to live with purpose and passion.
Responsibilities
- Maintains and actively promotes effective communication with all individuals.
- Maintains a positive image of the entity in the community keeping in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.
- Responsible for on-call services, as assigned.
- Administers medications as prescribed and per healthcare policy.
- Performs all necessary related functions, such as blood pressure checks and pulses in conjunction with the medication pass as needed.
- Communicates changes in a resident’s condition to the nurse immediately and accurately.
- Successfully completes required educational units annually.
- Attends training sessions, staff meetings, and in-services to stay current with information regarding drug therapies and healthcare processes.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum age of 18 years old.
- High school graduate or high school equivalency diploma.
- Successful completion and certification of the State of Minnesota approved Medication Administration Assistant training program.
- Current CPR Certification and ability to maintain.
- A Licensed Practical Nurse may be employed as a Medication Administration Assistant when successfully completing the required educational units annually and maintaining licensure with the State of Minnesota.
