Medicare Benefits Consultant (Tele- Sales)

Responsibilities
- Provide positive, consistent, daily engagement via telephone with prospective members.
- Educate prospective members on Clever Care products and enroll them into the product of their choice over the phone or other sales enrollment channels.
- Take inbound and make outbound calls to prospective members.
- Sell Clever Care’s Medicare Advantage products.
- Conduct presentations using approved guidelines.
- Conduct needs analysis and cost-benefit analysis.
- Complete enrollment into desired products.
- Set up in-person meetings and take RSVPs to events for prospective members who do not want to enroll over the telephone.
- Understand cultural sensitivity and professional boundaries.
- Meet or exceed individual sales goals.
- Maintain adherence to HIPAA compliance in all communications regarding clients in treatment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Strong working knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid and other government health programs/income assistance programs.
- Experience working with senior citizens and low-income individuals.
- Experience working in a tele-sales (call center) environment.
- Active California Life and Health Insurance License is required or must obtain within 3 months of hire.

Pay
$24.00 to $29.00 per hour plus commission. Salary ranges are based on California wages and may be higher or lower depending on the candidate’s state residency.
Physical & Working Environment
- Must be able to travel when needed or required.
- Ability to operate a keyboard, mouse, phone, and perform repetitive motion (keyboard); writing (note-taking).
- Ability to sit for long periods; stand, sit, reach, bend, lift up to fifteen (15) lbs.
- Ability to express or exchange ideas to impart information to the public and to convey detailed instructions to staff accurately and quickly.
- Work is performed in an office environment and/or remotely.
- The job involves frequent contact with staff and the public.
- May occasionally be required to work irregular hours based on the needs of the business.
