Responsibilities
- Collaborates with field operations and clinical departments to optimize work flows and patient experience.
- Triage and prioritize requests based on medical necessity and time lines.
- Schedules transports, assigns appropriate transport resources (NEMT, Secured Van, BLS, ALS, Specialty Care).
- Maintains continuous communication with field crews and healthcare teams.
- Models effective problem solving and conflict resolution practices.
- Verifies patient readiness and special equipment for transport to minimize delays.
- Communicates special handling or infection control requirements with drivers.
- Completes administrative assignments for regulatory and billing compliance.
- Verifies trip eligibility, authorizations, and payer requirements when applicable.
- Communicates changes or delays with field crews and customers.
- Optimizes routes and schedules to ensure efficiency and on-time performance.
- Maintains oversight of active trips and adjusts assignments as needed.
- Handles stress well and gets along with others within the workplace and with customers.
- Ensures compliance with safety, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Supports and reinforces a culture of safety, excellence, and just culture principles among the team.
- Proficient in dispatching and scheduling software.
- Works effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- High School Graduate
- 1 or more years Experience in dispatching
- 1 or more years Customer service
Skills
- Fluent English
- Basic understanding of EMS system design
- Common medical terminology

Schedule
3 - 12 hour shifts. 7:45am-8:15pm, including rotational Saturdays. Currently - no Sundays!
