Medical Transport Dispatcher and Router

Responsibilities

• Create routes and dispatch drivers efficiently and maximize multiloading
• Communicate with insurance providers, facilities, and clients to accept, reject, and acknowledge cancelled trips
• Act as the main point of contact for drivers and clients
• Plan the next day's trips in advance by organizing a daily trip manifest
• Create routes and dispatch drivers while maximizing efficiency and multiloading
• Assist and delegate office responsibilities with the team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience dispatching, with logistics mindset
• Ability to manage variables and factors while considering outcomes (type of van, number of drivers, driving time, time off)
• Strong digital, phone, and written communication skills (answer 100+ calls a day)
• Intimate knowledge of the Richmond metro area (zip codes, streets, regions)
• Effective at managing competing, high-level priorities - must be able to manage periods of stressful workload

Hours

• 5:00am to 7pm (5am-12pm & 12pm to 7pm alternating shifts)
• Monday to Friday
• Work until final trip is dispatched
• Potential to work weekends

Pay

$20/hr
