Medical Transcriptionist Team Leader

Job Responsibilities

Aid in overseeing the operational aspects of the department.
Lead the team through their daily tasks and procedures.
Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
Encourage and implement process improvements and best practices.
Conduct quality assurance checks to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
Resolve production errors as directed by management.
Investigate and address production errors, escalating issues as necessary.
Drive continuous process and service level improvements.
Enforce and manage departmental policies and procedures.
Perform administrative duties as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 5 years or more of medical transcriptionist experience.
• 2 years or more of transcriptionist experience in Pathology preferred.
• 1 year or more of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

• Understanding of laboratory operations and policies.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Attention to detail and strong prioritization skills.
• Fast-paced environment adaptability.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical requirements of the position.
• Pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts.
