Role Overview Performs clinical laboratory procedures, including specimen handling, testing of moderate to high complexity, and quality control measures to ensure accurate and timely patient results. Key Responsibilities Follow laboratory protocols for testing, maintain detailed records, perform instrument maintenance, and troubleshoot malfunctions. Recognize and address unexpected results, ensure adherence to quality standards, and assist in developing new procedures. Conduct phlebotomy, specimen processing, and manage supplies efficiently. Support training of new staff and ensure compliance with safety and infection control practices. Use laboratory computer systems for data entry and retrieval. Maintain confidentiality and participate in ongoing education. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in a relevant science field and appropriate certification (e.g., ASCP). Proficiency in laboratory procedures, problem-solving, communication, and computer software. Preferred: 1+ year of clinical lab experience. Additional Details Work every other weekend, night shift. On-site position in a hospital/medical center setting. Competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications.
