MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST/MLT ($15,000 Recruitment Compensation & up to $5,000 Relocation Assistance Available)

Responsibilities

• Performing Laboratory specimen testing, analysis and reporting.
• Preparing specimens, calibrating and maintaining instruments.
• Assisting in all areas of the Lab, as needed.
• Performing high complexity Laboratory testing and analyses on products and specimens.
• Reporting test results promptly, accurately and proficiently.
• Performing instrument calibrations and preventative maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Troubleshooting problems and errors with instrumentation, as needed.
• Collecting and evaluating specimens, and preparing samples for testing.
• Reporting unusual patient data or test results to Lab Supervisor, Director or Medical Director.
• Consulting with providers about Lab results and follow-up testing.
• Assisting in other areas of the Lab, and performing phlebotomy, as needed.
• Providing patient care, in collaboration with the patient, family and healthcare providers.
• Assisting with ordering supplies.

Qualifications

• Medical Technologist: Minimum Bachelors Degree
• Medical Technologist, Registered by ACSP or AMT
• Experience with computer software installation and testing of new applications
• Medical Laboratory Technician: Minimum Associates Degree in chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science
• Or minimum Associates Degree in medical laboratory technology from NAACLS approved program
• Or minimum High School Diploma/ GED, and successful completion of a military medical laboratory procedures course of at least 50 weeks in duration
