Medical Technologist III (Core Lab)

About the role

Medical Technologist III in a clinical laboratory setting, performing routine and complex tests with minimal supervision. You may work as a generalist across multiple laboratory areas based on training.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various laboratory tests in accordance with established standards and procedures.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of laboratory equipment, specimen processing, and test result management.
• Ensure timely and accurate test results, adhering to quality and safety standards.
• Perform tests during evening shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Maintain documentation, quality control, and compliance with laboratory standards.
• Support ongoing learning and skill development within a collaborative environment.

Requirements

• Post-secondary education in biology, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, or microbiology.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical laboratory experience with recognized certification.
• Certification through ASCP or AMT as an MT, CLS, or MLS is required.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrate technical proficiency, and adapt to different laboratory areas.
