Medical Technologist II - Full Time Evening

Role Overview: The Medical Technologist II performs clinical laboratory testing across various sections such as General Lab, Blood Bank, and Microbiology. They work independently to analyze blood and body fluids, ensuring accuracy and adherence to protocols. The role involves maintaining equipment, records, and quality assurance activities, as well as supervising and training staff in the absence of supervisors. Key Responsibilities Conduct routine and specialized tests in hematology, chemistry, urinalysis, coagulation, microbiology, and blood bank.Ensure quality control, safety, and accurate documentation of lab activities.Act as a technical resource, resolving issues, and training new employees.Perform scheduled maintenance and monitor instrument performance.Order supplies, maintain inventory, and ensure compliance with CAP and accreditation standards.Participate in proficiency testing, correlation studies, and procedure evaluations.In blood bank duties, perform automated testing, manage blood product inventory, and handle STAT requests. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Health Science, or related field; Master’s preferred.Certifications such as MT(ASCP), MLS(ASCP), or equivalent required.Minimum of 3 years laboratory experience; Epic system experience is preferred.Proficiency in computer/data entry, communication skills, and basic computer knowledge.
