Medical Technologist II - Chemistry

Role Overview: This position involves performing STAT and routine complex clinical laboratory tests on biological specimens using manual methods and automated analyzers. Key Responsibilities Report accurate patient results in a timely manner.Coordinate testing, interpret results, and communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.Support operational activities to maintain and optimize testing capabilities. Qualifications: Requires a Baccalaureate Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a health-related field, with completion of an accredited training program. Experience in a fast-paced environment, good communication skills, and ability to work irregular hours are essential. Certification or licensure as a Clinical Technologist in relevant areas is required, with preferred certification from recognized bodies. Skills & Abilities: Ability to produce accurate results under time constraints, multitask, work with machinery and clinical instrumentation, distinguish colors, and tolerate exposure to chemicals and infectious hazards. Must be able to work in rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility for scheduling adjustments. Additional Details: This full-time role includes benefits, with compensation ranging from $32.43 to $48.66 per hour, and involves working evenings with alternating weekends and possible on-call duties.
