About the role
Sets up and performs diagnostic testing on patient samples to support physicians in diagnosing and monitoring various disease states. Prepares specimens for testing, performs routine laboratory tests, maintains quality control, recognizes and troubleshoots instrument issues, communicates technical information, assists with training, participates in continuing education, and models Standards of Behavior.
Responsibilities
- Prepares specimens for testing

- Communicates technical information to medical and lay persons
- Aids in training laboratory personnel in routine procedures
- Participates in continuing education
- Recognizes normal and abnormal values
- Models Standards of Behavior in daily interactions and activities
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or relevant medical or scientific discipline required
- At least one year of experience in a clinical laboratory required
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist by ASCP BOC or equivalent, or relevant categorical certification required

Pay
$18.50 - $22.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications
