About the role
As a Medical Technologist I at Holy Cross Hospital, you will perform routine and specialized procedures, review and approve clinical test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in accordance with established protocols. You will support the Mission of Trinity Health and Holy Cross Hospital.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine and specialized procedures in a laboratory performing high complexity procedures.
- Review and approve clinical test results for use in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology (Medical Technology), biological, chemical or related science; and satisfactory completion of a clinical laboratory educational rotation.
- A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university including courses in biological science, chemistry and mathematics – and successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Technologist program.
- A baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college/university, including 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of biological science (with one semester in microbiology), 16 semester hours (24 quarter hours) of chemistry, one semester (one quarter) of mathematics, and one year of full-time acceptable clinical laboratory experience in Blood Banking, Chemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Immunology and/or Clinical Microscopy within the last ten years.
- Current or eligible ASCP, AMT, or NCA certification as a Medical Technologist desirable but not necessary with documented training and education.
- General knowledge of laboratory methodologies, interpretation of results, and quality assurance.
- Completed an accredited internship in all areas of the laboratory that the employee is to be responsible for or have documented/traceable on the job training in an accredited laboratory.
- Ability to work in harmony with personnel to build team-driven customer service.
- Demonstrates basic computer literacy.
- Demonstrates comprehension, skill, and command of oral and written English language.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Clinical Laboratory Setting.
- New Graduate to 5 years of experience in Clinical Laboratory Setting.

Pay and Schedule
- Pay range: $29.86 - $43.34.
- Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
- The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
