Medical Technologist - Generalist - Day Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Medical Technologist to perform clinical testing on patient specimens across all age groups, providing essential diagnostic information to physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform and evaluate laboratory tests with technical and analytical precision.
• Assess test results and equipment for accuracy, validity, and critical values, communicating with physicians as needed.
• Conduct daily Quality Control and Preventive Maintenance of instruments.
• Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement, safety, infection control, and departmental meetings.
• Engage in ongoing education, maintain LIS security, and practice guest relations with professionalism.
• Adhere to compliance policies, safety protocols, and hospital values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a biological or chemical science or an Associate degree with extensive experience.
• Certification (MLS, MT, MLT) preferred.

Skills

• Technical proficiency, problem-solving, attention to detail, and effective communication.
• Physical ability to perform laboratory tasks, including standing, lifting, and visual acuity.
