Med Tech (Day Shift)

About the role

The Medication Technician plays an integral role in the success of our team, our community and creating a place our residents are proud to call home. The primary purpose of this position is to administer medications with the scope of your license and provide assigned residents with daily resident care and services as directed/instructed and in accordance with established a care plan. Responsibilities

• Assist / administer medications according to health care provider instructions following the Medication Administration Record and within the scope of your license.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medication administration, medication effectiveness and any noted side effects, in accordance with established policy and procedures, standards of care and applicable state/federal regulations.
• Report any adverse reactions or side effects to supervisor or Director of Nursing.
• Performs personal care activities including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, skin care/nail care, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing, and others as directed/requested.
• Assists in dining rooms as assigned to provide resident care and monitoring.
