About the Role

Medical Technologist in the Core Laboratory, specializing in Clinical Microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine and specialized tests in Bacteriology, Virology, Mycobacteriology, Parasitology, and Mycology following established protocols.
• Process and receive specimens, perform quality control, calibrations, and troubleshoot testing issues.
• Document corrective actions and ensure accurate reporting of results via the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
• Interact with clients regarding test results, questions, and complaints.
• Maintain compliance with procedures and attend team meetings or review notes.
• Perform pre-analytic, analytic, and post-analytic testing, respond to testing problems, and ensure compliance with procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist by ASCP.

Skills

• Strong understanding of laboratory equipment, LIS functions, and quality assurance.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and professional judgment in evaluating complex data.
• Ability to handle nonstandard situations.

Schedule

Preferred availability for afternoon shifts, including weekends and holidays on rotation.
