Description Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technologist to join our Chemistry Lab team. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of laboratory diagnostic testing and quality assurance. Responsibilities Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures in the Chemsitry DepartmentOperate and maintain laboratory equipment according to established protocols and proceduresEnsure accuracy and reliability of test results by adhering to quality control standards, calibration, and proficiency testingParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with regulatory requirementsTrain and supervise laboratory assistants and other staff as neededStay current with advances in laboratory testing techniques, equipment, and regulationAdditional tasks may be assigned at any time by the supervisor Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or a related fieldCertification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by a recognized certifying agency3+ years' experience working in a clinical laboratory setting, with specific experience in Core Laboratory disciplines requiredAbility to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentComfortability with potential exposure to infectious agents, biohazardous materials, and chemicalsMay require occasional evening or weekend shifts based on operational needsExcellent communication skills and ability to interact effectively with coworkers and healthcare providersCommitment to quality, safety, and patient confidentiality About the Organization Access Medical Labs is one of the largest specialty diagnostic labs in the country, using 50% less blood and delivering next-day results.
