About the Role

We are searching for a talented Medical Technologist to join our team. This position offers a flexible 24–32 hour workweek with a day shift (7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM), including weekend and holiday rotation. Location: St. Luke's Hospital—New Bedford, MA.

Responsibilities

• Perform diversified duties within and in support of assigned Laboratory Section, involving routine and complex analysis to produce quality and timely patient results.
• Aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease while contributing to the solvency, efficiency, and growth of the hospital.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent (minimum 36 semester hours in biology and physical sciences) and up to one year of related work experience.
• Certification as a Medical Technologist (e.g., MT [ASCP]) or comparable agency approved by the National Commission for Health Certifying Agencies is required within two years of hire. Must maintain certification if applicable.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or sign an exemption statement for medical or personal reasons.

Pay

Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience. Pay Range: USD $35.70 – $46.75 per hour.

Schedule

• Day shift: 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM.
• Rotation requirement: Every other weekend and holiday.
