Responsibilities

• Perform technical laboratory functions in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis, Immunology, and Microbiology
• Receive and process specimens
• Examine specimens and record test results
• Analyze results using knowledge of test principles and clinical significance
• Monitor test quality against established performance standards
• Provide test result information to approved callers
• Alert appropriate personnel to abnormal test results for immediate action

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (Medical Technologist only)
• Certification by a nationally recognized professional registry within one year of employment is preferred
• Clinical laboratory internship; two years of clinical experience is preferred
