Medical Technologist
About the role
Clinch Valley Health is seeking a Medical Technologist to join our team. This position is part of a diverse healthcare network with facilities across the country.
Responsibilities
- Aids phlebotomists in specimen collection.
- Performs laboratory tests as directed by physicians or contracted companies.
- Verifies and processes samples, ensuring accuracy and appropriate documentation.
- Ensures timely communication of results to physicians and medical records.
- Assists with administrative tasks and maintains phone systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
- One to two years of experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Skills
- Attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy.

Pay
Hourly range: $27.97 - $37.75
