About the role
A Medical Technologist who excels in this role:
- Verifies patient and specimen identification before performing any procedure.
- Performs common testing procedures and assesses and reports test results.
- Performs test result calculations as necessary.
- Performs and reports waived to highly complex laboratory tests on patients by departmental policies and procedures.
- Recognizes abnormal, unusual, or unexpected test results through correlation of data with common physiological conditions/age of the patient.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or MT degree.
- One (1) year of experience in a medical laboratory preferred.
Qualifications
- Licenses: Medical Technologist licensure through ASCP or AMT preferred (licensure must reflect education requirements).
Skills
- Strong attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
