About the Role
Performs routine and specialized laboratory testing on patient specimens to support diagnosis, treatment, and disease prevention.
Responsibilities
- Conduct accurate testing, verify specimen quality, and ensure equipment is operational.
- Maintain quality control, record procedures, and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve laboratory goals and support departmental functions.
- Mentor new staff and present continuing education.
- Act as charge person when assigned, providing technical guidance.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and ensure test results are accurate and clinically relevant.
- Manage time and resources efficiently, maintain professional standards, and uphold quality assurance.
Requirements
- Medical Technology degree or equivalent experience, with MT ASCP/NCA certification preferred.
- 2-5 years of relevant laboratory experience.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance.
