Medical Technologist - 2nd Shift - Blood Bank

Pay rate ranges from $33 to $45 per hour, depending on experience. Specific pay scales are as follows:

• 1 year of experience: $30.80/hr
• 2–5.4 years of experience: $35.25/hr
• 5.5–9 years of experience: $38.75/hr
• 9+ years of experience: $42/hr

Additional shift differentials apply:

• +$3.50/hr for weeknights
• +$8/hr for weekends

About the Role

A non-profit organization specializing in blood donation for hospitals is seeking Medical Technologists to join their growing team. This position is for the 2nd shift (4:00 PM – 12:30 AM), 5 days a week, with rotating weekends and holidays. Training will initially be on the first shift for a few months.

Responsibilities

• Accept, verify, and process incoming blood samples
• Perform various testing procedures on donor and patient specimens
• Maintain accurate documentation
• Perform essential functions of the lab technician and lab assistant as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related life science
• 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist
• Valid and current Florida Clinical Laboratory Technologist license in Immunohematology or Blood Banking
