Medical Technician

Responsibilities

  • Provide safety oversight for all individuals, including completing security and room checklists
  • Conduct room checks at least three times per shift and ensure rooms are tidy
  • Assist with admissions and discharges, including pat-down searches, inventorying belongings, and completing required paperwork
  • Facilitate mealtimes and document food consumption; manage food inventory and submit supply orders as needed
  • Ensure individuals are informed of and participate in scheduled activities and visitation
  • Lead or assist with groups and provide meaningful outdoor time
  • Support a positive unit environment by monitoring interactions and encouraging appropriate behavior
  • Perform 24-hour chart checks of tech bundles and meal documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Assist nursing staff with de-escalation techniques and support seclusion and restraint interventions when necessary

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma/GED Equivalent
  • A valid Georgia Driver’s License
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
  • The ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly
