Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med-Surg RN)

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all elements of the nursing process when providing and/or supervising direct patient care
• Affirms care based on age-specific components
• Considers all characteristics of the individual, including age and life stage, state of health, race and culture, values, and previous experiences
• Administers medications and procedures per established policies and guidelines
• Influences care outcomes by collaborating with members of the interdisciplinary team
• Pose and articulate in communicating with people of varied educational levels and varied ethnic backgrounds
• Works cooperatively as a member of a team in all assignments
• Participates in unit/program level quality improvement processes and initiatives as well as customer service programs

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Registered Nurse academic program (BSN or ADN)
• Certified Registered Nurse licensure in at least one state, territory, or commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
• Two (2) years of recent Medical-Surgical RN work experience is required

Pay

Pay Range: $44.79 - $49.29 hourly
