Medical Staff Credentialing Coordinator
Job Description

Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Credentials and re-credentials Medical, Dental, and Podiatric staff/Moonlighters/Advanced Practice Professionals, including preparation and completion of credentialing folders with queries of appropriate national and state data banks.
- Aids other medical staff coordinators in working with the medical staff president, responsible for agendas, minutes, and follow-up of Medical Staff and APP meetings and COS mailings.
- Coordinates specific projects, as requested, to assist the department/organization attain goals.
- Provides assistance to the COS office with general clerical duties and supports the COS team.
Position Qualifications
- Experience: 3-5 years experience in a healthcare organization or experience with a Medical Staff Office; prior experience with medical staff credentialing and credentialing software.
- Education & Training: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- Licenses, Certifications & Registrations: CPCS required within 1 year of meeting eligibility requirements.
Other Requirements
- Excellent administrative, communication and organizational skills.
- Excellent computer skills with ability to understand data base management.
