About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Medical Specialist II Ophthalmology- LA, MS, AR to join the team of a leader in the Pharmaceuticals & Biotech space. This remote field-based sales role will focus on driving specialty pharmaceutical adoption within an ophthalmology territory spanning Louisiana, Mississippi, and Arkansas. The selected professional will partner closely with retina specialists and key customer accounts to grow business, support reimbursement needs, and strengthen long-term relationships in a competitive market. This position requires a strong blend of clinical fluency, consultative selling, and cross-functional collaboration with internal marketing and operations teams. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with retina specialists and customer accounts
- Drive revenue growth and meet product goals
- Provide technical and clinical knowledge of products
- Utilize the company's marketing and operations resources effectively

Qualifications
- BA/BS in science or business; a master's degree is a plus
- Minimum 5 years of specialty sales experience in pharmaceuticals or biotechnology
- Experience with buy and bill products
- Demonstrated sales performance history
- Experience in ophthalmology, preferably with a focus on retina
- Familiarity with reimbursement programs and managed care
- Must reside near the assigned territory; relocation is not provided

Pay
$162,000 – $220,800 annually
