About the role
This role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures under supervision, utilizing ultrasound technology to assist in patient diagnosis across all ages.
Responsibilities
- Conducting various ultrasound exams (abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, neuro, breast, and interventional)
- Ensuring proper patient positioning
- Operating all ultrasound equipment and support systems effectively
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
- Coordinating exams
- Documenting findings accurately
- Supporting departmental quality improvement initiatives
- Equipment maintenance
- Patient care
- Supporting student training
- Participating in departmental meetings and projects
Qualifications
- Graduation from a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
- ARDMS certification in abdomen within three months
- BLS certification
Skills
- Knowledge of sonographic anatomy, physics, and procedures
- Proficiency with ultrasound and related computer systems
- Effective communication
