Employment Type Full time Shift Day Shift Description Trinity Health Of New England Medical Group is seeking a compassionate, organized, and customer-focused Medical Secretary to join our Hematology Oncology team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for patients and providers, ensuring a positive patient experience while supporting the daily administrative operations of a busy specialty practice. What You'll Do Welcome patients and manage the check-in/check-out process.Answer and triage incoming calls, providing exceptional customer service.Schedule patient appointments, procedures, and diagnostic exams.Prepare, maintain, and update patient medical records.Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications for procedures and exams.Scan and organize medical documentation within the electronic medical record.Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, and office team members to support efficient patient care.Maintain proficiency with office technology and electronic health record systems.Support clinical staff with clerical tasks while contributing to a positive, patient-centered environment. Qualifications Associate degree preferred.1-2 years of healthcare or medical office experience required.Previous Medical Secretary or equivalent administrative experience required.Epic experience preferred.Strong computer and data entry skills.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.Knowledge of medical terminology.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.Ability to effectively manage multiple phone lines.
