Medical Screener/Phlebotomist

About the Role

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and work as a plasma donor screener and phlebotomist, collecting high‑quality plasma that becomes life‑changing medicines. The role emphasizes customer service, quality, and donor safety.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors, focusing on their experience and safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record vital signs and finger‑stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System to prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and initiate process changes using approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and stand for an entire shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Lift up to 5 lb regularly; occasional lifts of up to 32 lb and rarely up to 50 lb.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Prolonged glove wear required for 90 % of tasks due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
• At least 1 year of experience in a customer‑ or patient‑facing role (helpful but not required).

Pay

Starting hourly wage: $16.00 (actual wage will comply with state or local minimum‑wage requirements). Daily pay is offered to hourly team members.

Schedule

Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
