Responsibilities

• Performs photomicrography and photomacrography with bright field, dark field, phase contrast, and fluorescence.
• Plans the composition of the photograph, analyzing the subject material and selecting the angle, lighting, and background to enhance desired or to eliminate unwanted features.
• Provides technical guidance and instruction to members of the faculty and staff in medical photography techniques and procedures.
• Develops film, makes prints, and produces slides from charts, books and slides to be used for teaching purposes.
• Maintains files of photographs and processed film.
• Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Three years of related photographic experience.
• Technical certification preferred.

Skills

• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
• Competence in photographic operations demonstrated through professional portfolio.
• Knowledge of photography techniques and proper use of equipment.
• Strong computer skills.
• Basic medical knowledge.
• Ability to operate technological equipment and attention to detail.

Pay

Pay Range $28.55 - $42.85
