About the role
The Hematology Medical Science Liaison (MSL)/Senior MSL is a field-based specialist supporting global Medical Affairs initiatives in oncology and hematology.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals in academic and community settings within the territory.
- Develop and execute territory plans aligned with regional and global strategies.
- Provide scientific and clinical insights on emerging data and support the appropriate use of products.
- Deliver medical education and support product launches through healthcare provider engagement.
- Facilitate investigator-sponsored trials, oversee study processes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Support clinical trial activities, including site recommendations and trial awareness.
- Represent scientific knowledge at conferences and advisory boards, and serve as a resource for commercial teams.
- Stay updated on clinical trends, trials, and scientific activities relevant to oncology and hematology.
Qualifications & Skills
- Advanced/scientific medical degree (e.g., MD, PhD, PharmD) preferred; clinical background considered.
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Affairs or MSL experience in oncology/hematology preferred.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare environments, clinical data, and industry regulations (FDA, ICH, HIPAA, etc.).
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proven success in product launches or therapeutic expertise is advantageous.
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to adapt to multiple business applications.
Additional Details
Approximately 50% travel within IL/WI territory required. Compliance with industry regulations and policies is essential.
