About the Role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a key member of Global Medical Affairs, responsible for communicating scientific, clinical, and technical information within the medical community. The role involves developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and serving as a therapeutic and radiopharmaceutical expert for internal audiences. Preferred candidates will reside near an international airport.

This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer in the United States. The territory includes Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Michigan, Ohio, and Missouri.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, develops, and maintains long-term collaborative relationships with Key Opinion Leaders in the assigned territory.
• Demonstrates strong communication skills, presenting approved scientific data of varying complexity to internal and external customers in group and one-on-one settings, tailored to the audience and compliant with company policies, laws, and ethical standards.
• Responds to unsolicited scientific questions or requests with accurate, approved scientific data for both approved products and those in development, adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.
• Shares approved clinical and technical information in a timely manner with relevant internal teams and personnel.
• Utilizes advanced clinical and technical expertise in interactions with External Experts to gain insights into:
  • Diagnostic medical imaging patterns in prostate cancer
  • Treatment guidelines and therapeutic advances in oncology
  • Needs and interests of healthcare providers
  • Medical needs of patients
• Provides constructive feedback to speakers and Lantheus Medical Imaging teams regarding the accuracy and delivery of approved presentations and compliance adherence.
• Complies with Lantheus Medical Imaging Pharmacovigilance SOPs for Adverse Events.
• Identifies potential investigators for investigator-sponsored trials following approved processes.
• Adheres to the US Compliance Code of Conduct, LMI policies, OIG Guidance, PhRMA Code, GCP, HIPAA, and relevant FDA laws and regulations.

Requirements

• PhD, PharmD, or MD required.
• 2+ years of MSL experience preferred.
• Clinical experience in oncology, urology, or radiopharmaceuticals/medical imaging preferred.
• Understanding of current and emerging trends in oncology, radiopharmaceuticals, and diagnostic imaging.
• Proficient at translating approved scientific or clinical data into high-quality medical information to assist healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated leadership in team environments with effective communication across management, peers, and cross-functional teams.
• Highly motivated with a proven record of growth and achievement.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, adapt to change, and communicate effectively.
• Exceptional oral and written communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Oncology and/or radiopharmaceutical knowledge, including key scientific publications.
• In-depth knowledge of a technical, scientific, or clinical area.
• Knowledge of clinical trial design and process.
• Understanding of principles and implications of pharmacoeconomic data.
• Advanced knowledge of the US healthcare system and the medical imaging industry.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• 70% travel required; preference for candidates residing near an international airport.

Pay

The pay range for this position is between $163,000 and $245,000 annually. Actual base pay may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Employees are eligible for a discretionary performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the role, may qualify for a discretionary annual equity award.
