Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with academic and community research thought leaders, healthcare providers (HCPs), and access stakeholders to answer scientific, unsolicited product, and HEOR-related questions using various interaction channels (1:1, group presentations, remote).
• Demonstrate proficiency in using scientific resources and presentations, ensuring medical accuracy and compliance with ethical, legal, and procedural guidelines.
• Actively assess the medical landscape by meeting with thought leaders, HCPs, and access stakeholders to understand their needs and expertise.
• Continuously update knowledge in treatment strategies, products, unmet medical needs, clinical trials, health economics outcomes research, and scientific activities.
• Understand the competitive landscape and evolving healthcare models to address informational needs of customers.
• Identify opportunities to partner with HCPs on disease state initiatives, collaborative research projects, and investigator-sponsored research (ISR) aligned with BMS strategic objectives.
• Attend medical congresses and local/regional meetings.
• Collect and communicate meaningful medical insights to support strategy development and business decisions.
• Develop geography-specific Field Medical and thought leader interaction plans based on therapeutic area objectives and stakeholder needs.
• Adopt an institution/account planning approach and contribute to cross-functional plans.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of scientifically meaningful medical programs/projects.
• Establish customer-centric, compliant collaboration with cross-matrix field teams within the assigned geography.
• Support initial and ongoing medical/scientific training and provide key updates to internal stakeholders (e.g., Commercial, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Legal, HEOR).
• Provide scientific support at promotional meetings by presenting data, evaluating speakers, and supporting BMS-contracted speakers.
• Participate in assigned congress activities.
• Support interventional and non-interventional research (NIR) studies, including site identification and assessment to facilitate patient recruitment and discussions on safe/effective use of BMS investigational products.
• Provide recommendations and insights to clinical development teams on study and site feasibilities.
• Support HCPs in the ISR submission and execution process, including study follow-up.
• Ensure BMS Pharmacovigilance procedural documents are understood and applied by investigators, and report adverse events as needed.
• Actively support CRO-sponsored studies as agreed with home office medical and Global Development Operations (GDO).

Requirements

• MD, PharmD, PhD, APP, PA, or NP with experience in a specific disease area or a broad medical background and relevant pharmaceutical experience.
• Disease area knowledge and understanding of scientific publications.
• Knowledge of a scientific or clinical area, competitive landscape, and patient treatment trends.
• Knowledge of clinical trial design and process.
• Understanding of the national healthcare and access environment.
• Knowledge of HEOR core concepts.
• Excellent English language skills (spoken and written).
• Ability to drive a company-provided car is essential; candidates must possess a safe driving history and be able to travel between locations efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years working in a clinical and/or pharmaceutical environment.
• Prior MSL experience.
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey scientific/clinical data to healthcare professionals.
• Experience developing peer-to-peer relationships with thought leaders, scientists, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ability to quickly learn new subject areas and environments.

Schedule

• Field-based position; must live in the territory (Indiana and Michigan) or within 50 miles of its borders.
• Majority of time spent in the field with external customers.
• Travel required based on territory assignment and team needs.

Pay

Starting compensation range for this full-time role: $166,090 - $201,262. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities may be available based on eligibility. Final compensation will be determined by demonstrated experience.
