Medical/Research Assistant

About the role

National Institute of Clinical Research, a research organization serving the pharmaceutical and biotech industries, is searching for a highly experienced Medical Assistant with Phlebotomy experience.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Research Study Coordinator in recruiting subjects for assigned clinical trials
• Congnidering and coordinating the research activities and visits for the subjects enrolled in research projects
• Scheduling research visits for subjects enrolled in clinical trials
• The performance of EKG, routine phlebotomy, other lab assessments such as vital signs, and obtaining necessary lab results for the subjects
• Assisting the study coordinator in reviewing and requesting medical records

Requirements

• Medical assistant / Phlebotomist with at least one to two years of clinical experience (certification preferred)
• A laboratory technician with at least one to two years of clinical experience
• Experience with PC software applications including word processing
• The ability and willingness to learn new software programs
• Travel is required to other sites

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus
