Medical Records Lead
About the role
The growing psychiatric practice in Kissimmee, Florida is seeking a Medical Records Lead to perform tasks including organizing, testing, and ensuring the search-ability and accessibility of medical documents, creating, ordering, and maintaining various forms, templates, and reporting documents, coordinating chart audits, and checking for document completion. The ideal candidate must have excellent grammar skills, proficiency in writing and reading comprehension, and knowledge of HIPAA law.
Responsibilities
- Organize, test, and ensure search-ability and access to medical documents
- Create, order, and maintain forms, templates, and reporting documents
- Cookbook and check for document completion during chart audits
- May photocopy records and documents for billing and/or legal services
- Sends and receives information via facsimile machine
- Prioritize and multitask, transcribing as needed
- Must have knowledge of HIPAA Law
Requirements
- Proficiency in grammar, writing composition, and reading comprehension required
- Candidates must complete the written testing module through Indeed to be considered
- MUST complete the written testing module through Indeed to be considered for this position
- Full bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience working with filing sensitive documents
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills

Background Check
This position requires the individual to undergo and pass an L2 Background check through AHCA (Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration) before their first day of employment. This process includes fingerprinting.
