Medical Records Courier
About the role
This role is crucial for ensuring that medical records and orders reach provider offices promptly, supporting patient care and building strong relationships.
Responsibilities
- Pick up and deliver medical records and orders from provider offices, maintaining professionalism and organization
- Maintain chain of custody for all documents using a manifest and/or mobile app/scanner
- Verify accuracy, sign, and date medical orders
- Build genuine relationships with provider office staff
- Resolve order issues quickly with marketing and operations teams
- Track orders, follow up, and report concerns to supervisors
- Uphold HIPAA and confidentiality standards
Requirements
High school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance. Customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or medical records, is beneficial. Prior courier or delivery driving experience is preferred. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks independently are required. Great interpersonal skills and comfort with GPS navigation and mobile apps are also important.
Qualifications
Physical demands include regular standing, walking, manual dexterity, lifting up to 25 pounds, and visual acuity requirements including close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Skills
Knowledge of medical terminology, familiarity with healthcare regulations, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially are essential. Proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile apps is preferred.

$16.66 - $21.94 per hour
