About the role

Labcorp is a global leader in laboratory services, providing insights and answers that help healthcare providers, patients, researchers, pharmaceutical companies, and health systems make confident decisions and improve outcomes. As a Courier in Anniston, AL, you will be responsible for the pickup, transport, and delivery of medical specimens, lab supplies, and reports while providing excellent service to our clients.

Responsibilities

• Load all necessary supplies needed for the daily pickups.
• Complete daily pickup schedule in a timely manner.
• Deliver all daily pickups to your branch at the end of your shift.
• Handle all specimens and lab samples in a safe and efficient manner.
• Safely operate a company vehicle and obey all traffic laws.
• Utilize a handheld electronic device to manage daily pickups.
• Work directly with the dispatcher for additional pickups as needed.
• Evaluate traffic patterns, alternative routes, and weather conditions as needed.

Requirements

• Very punctual with strong time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to problem-solve customer issues.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
• At least 21 years old.

Qualifications

• Minimum: No education or experience required.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of driver or courier experience.
• Preferred: 1 year or more of customer service experience.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 4:30 PM - 12:30 AM, and every third Sunday, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM.

Additional Information

A company vehicle is provided for the route. For $125 per month, you may take the vehicle home and use it for personal use.
