Roles And Responsibilities
- Distributes ALL faxes through EHR system in a timely manner, ensuring attention to details and accuracy according to HIPPA.
- Make outgoing calls as needed to obtain patient, provider or billing information.
- Receives and responds to incoming calls, emails, tasks and Teams messaging.
- Create New Patient charts as needed with attention to details/accuracy via electronic chart system.
- Process ALL requests for medical records in compliance with CEP/HIPPA guidelines.
- Absorb and adhere to federal, state and HIPPA guidelines regarding privacy of patient health information.
- Assist medical records staff throughout all sites when needed or time allows within your daily duties.
Experience Requirement
- Requires a minimum of two years’ experience in healthcare.
- Requires excellent communication skills and customer service.
- Requires exceptional multitasking and prioritization skills.
- Previous electronic health records experience preferred.
- Maintain professionalism and ensure operational efficiency.
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate great time management skills.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to stay focused.
