Medical Record Analyst (Weekends)

Responsibilities

• Ensure all inpatient, outpatient, and ED records are reviewed for required charting elements in accordance with Medical Staff Bylaws, Hospital Administrative Policies, TJC, CMS, and DOH regulations.
• Assign appropriate deficiencies to physicians, residents, and allied health care professionals for completion of charts.
• Follow department policies and procedures.
• Adhere to productivity and quality standards.
• Work required queues and audits according to schedule.
• Retrieve, scan, and transport hospital patient information.
• Ensure inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department records are received, prepped, scanned, and indexed into the patient’s electronic record.
• Maintain the Death Log and perform required functions at the front desk.
• Represent the hospital in a professional manner using excellent customer service practices.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent OR - GED
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education.
