Position Overview

We are currently looking for a full time Medical Receptionist who will float and provide coverage to any of our 10 clinics as needed in Oxnard, Camarillo, Ventura, Newbury Park, Santa Paula & Simi Valley. General schedule needed: Monday & Wednesday 10:00am - 6:30pm, Tuesday & Thursday 9:00am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (Subject to change when floating to other clinics.)

Essential Duties

  • Greets warmly and maintains a friendly, welcoming relationship with all patient care coordinators, and any external connections.
  • Clearly communicates with all staff, including clinical and corporate employees, in a friendly and courteous manner.
  • Answers phones and greets patients with the utmost professionalism and care in a timely manner and returns VMs same day received.
  • Maintains a higher than 85% answer call rate.
  • Participates in and adheres to, as required, the HIPAA Policies and Procedures of Therapy Partner Group.
  • Escalates patient issues and concerns, as needed, to local Clinical leadership and Regional Front Office management.
  • Schedules patient’s initial evaluations and follow up visits through plan of care.

Minimum Requirements

  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Raintree PMS experience is a +;
  • Possess strong relationship building and customer service skills;
  • Able to maintain confidential documents;
  • Possess strong team player attributes;
  • Able to multi-task responsibilities while maintaining a positive and friendly atmosphere with the patients near by;

Education and Experience

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent (Must be 18+)
  • Experience: Practice Management System knowledge, patient scheduling capabilities and insurance plan understanding. Front office experience in a physical therapy office is a plus.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

  • Requires prolonged sitting, some walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other equipment.
  • Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and present reports.
