About the role
ProSport Physical Therapy & Performance, a member of Therapy Partners Group, has been the premier provider for outpatient orthopedics serving Orange County and surrounding communities since 1992. We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist for our Costa Mesa location.
Schedule
- 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday
- Shift within the range of 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and maintain a friendly, welcoming relationship with all patient care coordinators and external connections
- Communicate clearly and courteously with all staff, including clinical and corporate employees
- Answer phones, greet patients professionally, and return voicemails the same day received (maintain >85% answer call rate)
- Adhere to HIPAA policies and procedures
- Escalate patient issues and concerns to local clinical leadership and regional front office management
- Schedule patient initial evaluations and follow-up visits through the plan of care
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (must be 18+)
- Practice Management System knowledge, patient scheduling capabilities, and insurance plan understanding
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
Skills
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office; Raintree PMS experience a plus
- Strong relationship-building and customer service skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Active listening skills, including asking clarifying questions and soliciting feedback
- Strong team player attributes
- Ability to multitask while maintaining a positive and friendly atmosphere
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting, with some walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and stretching
- Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, mouse, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment
- Normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and present reports
